Offer Description

Open call for applications for a position as a PhD student in uncertainty assessment and reduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for fault detection, as part of trustworthy decision process and implementation, investigated in IntelliWind (GA. 101168725) project funded under the call for proposals MSCA Doctoral Networks 2023 - HORIZON-MSCA-2023-DN-01.

The present project will take advantage of collaboration with researchers and engineers at UCLM and at external partners in academia as well as the industry. The project includes close collaboration with SYDIS and Technical University of Denmark (DTU), and envisages external stays in Spain and Denmark, respectively.

Salary and appointment terms:

These contracts will be governed by the provisions of article 21 of Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation, modified by Law 17/2022 of 5 September (Contrato Predoctoral – Predoctoral Contract); and in RD 103/2019 of 1 March, which approves the Statute of pre-doctoral research personnel in training.

The salary for the predoctoral researcher takes as a reference the Research Unit Cost approved in the HORIZON-MSCA-2023-DN-01 call, considering the correction coefficient for Spain, which includes a living allowance, mobility allowance and family allowance (where applicable).

The net salary cannot be estimated in the first instance as it differs taking into consideration personal and institutional circumstances. The UCLM will establish an employment contract with the employee, which under Spanish legislation includes two types of taxes that must be paid by the employer and the employee, respectively, and in two different stages, that will be retained from the total EU funding:

  • Employer’s share of social Security Contribution (cuota patronal) – A percentage of 33,18% (2024) that will be retained from the total allowance as calculated in the budget.
  • The Contribution to the Social Security System and the Personal Income Tax, to be deducted before receiving the net salary. The percentage retained depends on personal and familiar circumstances of the predoctoral researcher.

The appointment will be based on specific conditions see section [Applicant Requirements].

The total period of employment for this contract is 3 years maximum.

Working time: Full time (150 hours/month). The dedication to the contract will be complete, so it will be incompatible with any other employment contract and with the receipt of any amount that is of a salary nature not linked with the project.
