A position is open for a Research Fellowship for a Master under the project From Fossil to Forest – FOSSIL2FOREST, Reference: C632868078-00467205.
Scientific field: Materials Engineering and related areas
Admission requirements: The candidate must have a degree and be enrolled in a doctoral programme or a non-degree course at a higher education institution. Candidates should hold or be in the final year of a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or related areas. Priority will be given to candidates in the fields of Materials Engineering or Nanotechnology, particularly those with research experience in the specific scientific area outlined in the work plan. Documents attesting to this academic situation must be submitted until the contracting stage of the fellowship and may be replaced by a declaration of honour during the application process.
Workplan: Under this PRR project (From Fossil to Forest), candidates are expected to contribute to the following research developments:
Preparation, modification, and characterization of conductive ink for different printable conditions aimed at printing on paper-based materials.
Designing functional ink/paper substrates for sensor applications (humidity, thermal, antenna, RFID, etc.).
Study of the rheological properties of functional ink.
Preparation of reports, scientific articles, and project deliverables based on the work described above.
Duration of the fellowship(s): The fellowship will last for 12 months, starting in November 2024, with the possibility of renewal within the project's duration (until the end of 2025).
Monthly maintenance allowance amount: The amount of the grant is € 1259.64, according to the table of grants awarded directly by FCT, I.P. https://www.fct.pt/fct-atualizou-o-valor-das-bolsas- de-investigacao-3/, and payment is made monthly by bank transfer.
