Offer Description
Post-doctoral position available within the SUPPORT project (funded by EDCTP3): action ‘Supporting the next generation of African researchers on preventing HIV pediatric mortality through a training network’, a highly multidisciplinary, international and competitive training program in pediatrics research.
RESEARCH PROJECT: COORDINATION OF CLINICAL RESEARCH
The purpose of this postdoctoral fellowship is to develop the scientific coordination skills needed by the SUPPORT network to develop all the scientific projects. This proposed training initiative will prepare the successful candidate for being a research leader and a successful principal investigator in the next future. The SUPPORT scientific coordinator postdoctoral fellow will be responsible for assuring the overall quality of study procedures and deliverables following high-quality standards. They will notably participate in the development and amendment of the SUPPORT protocol and study tools.

•Hold a PhD in a relevant field (preferably in a health related field) and be a registered medical doctor
•Previous experience in pediatric clinical research, conduct, multisite research experience, research coordination, randomized clinical trials
•Proficiency in English (oral and written) is mandatory (an interview in English will be conducted during the recruitment process)
•Willingness to work for at least two years in a Sub-Saharan African country after the end of the post-doctoral contract
•Be a citizen or resident of a Sub-Saharan African country

Additional Information
•A 24-month full time post-doctoral contract to undertake at Makerere University (Kampala, Uganda)
•A competitive gross salary according to the Marie Sklodowska-Curie training network tables taking into account family status and mobility (gross salary including employer’s social contribution and without family allowance: 3,413.76€/Month)
