Offer Description
The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Sustainable Economic Development is currenty seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate (Senior Lecturer).
Extent of employment: 22 hours per week
Duration of employment: 1st of October 2024, limited to 30th of September 2025 (with option for temporary extension)
Workplace: 1180 Vienna, Feistmantelstraße 4
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 1.968,30
Responsibilities:
- Work as a senior lecturer
- Teaching, especially in the programs Environmental and
Bioresource Management (Bachelor and Master),
Agricultural Sciences (Bachelor) and Agricultural and Food
Economy (Master) in the field of agricultural and
environmental sociology, bachelor's seminars, introduction
to scientific work, etc. - Holding exams
- Supervision of students
- Participation in the self-administration of the university, the
department and the institute as weil as in evaluation
measures - Participation in the working group Sociology of Environment,
Climate Change and Agriculture - Participation in research projects in the areas of the working group and institute
Required skills and qualifications:
- Diploma degree in Sociology (focus an Environmental and Agricultural Sociology), Environmental and Bioresource Management, Agricultural and Food Economy or other equivalent university degree
- Excellent written and spoken German and English
- Teaching experience
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Experience in university teaching is an advantage
- Experience in acquiring and conduction research projects is an advantage
