Offer Description
The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Marketing and Innovation is currently seeking a Postgraduate Research Associate.
Extent of employment: 30 hours per week
Duration of employment: 1st of October 2024, limited to 30th of September 2028
Workplace: Vienna
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 2.684,10
Responsibilities:
It is desired that the successful candidate completes a publication-based PhD, related to research field of the institute within 4 years.
The following tasks are associated with the postion:
- Contributing to research and scientific publications in the scientific field
- Presentation of research results at scientifc conferences
- Participation in third mission activities of the institute
- Teaching 4 SWS in the field of marketing
- Creation of teaching materials and e-learning content
- Supervision of Bachelor's theses and co-supervision of Master's theses
- Participation in the administration of the institute, institute events and student support
Required skills and qualifications:
- Diploma degree in business (with a major in marketing), agricultural studies (with a major in marketing), sustainability studies (with a major in consumer behavior) or other equivalent university degree
- Solid command of English in writing and speaking, Knowlegde of the German language is beneficial but not crucial to the job
- Solid methodological skills in empirical social sciences (study designsm, data analysis)
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Dedicated interest in scientific research
- Excellent IT user knowledge (MS Office, Statistics Software)
- Conceptual and analytical thinking
- Willingness to teach and tale didactic training
- Ability to work in a self-organized environment
- Adherence to timelines, pro-active attitude and flexibility
