Offer Description
The offer will solely take place in Portugal (Lisbon).
The research fellow will assist the research team in the following (1) observing and recording musical behaviour in the context of artistic creations for children; (2) Content analysis of interviews; (3) collaborating in the organisation of the XIV International Colloquium Art for Childhood and Social and Human Development and other scientific dissemination events.
The research fellowship’s duration is 3 months, eventually renewable until a maximum of 6 months.
The expected starting date is October 1, 2024.

Holder of a diploma (Licenciate) in Musicology, Music, or equivalent and enrollment in a Master in Musicology or Music Teaching or equivalent, or in a non-degree course in an equivalent area.
Additional Information
Monthly research fellowship corresponds to € 990,98€, according to the table of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal (https://www.fct.pt/wp-content/uploads/2023/02/Tabela-de-Valores-SMM_202…).
When chosen by the candidate, a first category voluntary social insurance may be added to this amount, together with a personal accident insurance.
Holder of a diploma (Bachelor) in Musicology or equivalent and enrollment in a Masters in Musicology or Music Education or a non-degree course in an equivalent area.
Knowledge of research methodologies; Interest in musical development and art for children; Excellent written and spoken command of the Portuguese language.
The selection method will be a) curriculum evaluation, on a grading scale from 0 to 10, with weighting of the academic background and the preferential requirements.
