Candidates should meet the criteria for selection to the associate position of assistant prescribed in Article 39, paragraph 4, and selection for the associate position of assistant prescribed by Article 39, paragraph 4 and paragraph 6 of the Act on Higher Education and Scientific Activity, conditions for selection to the position of assistant from Article 11 of the Rulebook on the conditions for selection to scientific, associate and professional positions of the Institute for oceanography and fisheries, which can be found on the Institute's website (https://galijula.izor.hr/dokumenti/), as well as the conditions set by the Croatian Science Foundation, which include:

• completed university graduate or integrated undergraduate and graduate study in the scientific area of natural science 
• the possibility of enrolling in a doctoral study - Oceanology at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Zagreb in the academic year 2024/2025 or an already enrolled doctoral study - Oceanology at the Faculty of Science and Mathematics of the University of Zagreb 
• previous recognitions, awards, etc., for excellence in study and research work and/or participation in scientific research work, published papers, presentations at scientific conferences, etc.

Candidates must submit the following documents with their handwritten application:

• Curricuclum Vitae,
• motivation letter,
• copy of diploma for the completed relevant university graduate or integrated undergraduate and graduate study program (or a decision on the recognition of a foreign educational qualification for candidates who obtained their qualification abroad),
• official transcript of grades with the calculated grade average,
• at least two relevant letters of support
• proof of citizenship
• proof of recognitions, awards for excellence in study and research work and/or proof of participation in scientific research work, published papers, presentations at scientific conferences, etc. 

Persons from Article 102, Paragraphs 1 to 3 of the Act on Croatian Homeland War Veterans and their Family Members are invited to submit evidence from Article 103, Paragraph 1 of the same law to exercise the right to employment preference.
