announces a

C A L L   F O R   A P P L I C A T I O N S

for the selection of one PhD student in the associate title and position of assistant under the call of the Croatian Science Foundation "Young Researchers' Career Development Project - Training of New Doctors of Science," for the needs of the project: "Diet-dependent effect of intranasal insulin on cognition in a rat model of sporadic Alzheimer disease," on a fixed-term basis (6 years). The project is being carried out at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine, Croatian Institute for Brain Resarch, Department of Pharmacology, Laboratory for Molecular Neuropharmacology.

Mandatory requirements (any of the following):

- Completed integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of medicine

- Completed integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of veterinary medicine

- Completed university graduate study of molecular biology or experimental biology

- Completed integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of pharmacy

- Completed integrated undergraduate and graduate university study of medical biochemistry

- Completed university graduate study of molecular biotechnology

- Completed graduate study of bioprocess engineering or related studies in the field of biomedical or natural sciences.

Applicants must meet the conditions prescribed by the Croatian law regulating scientific activity and higher education, the Decision on necessary conditions for the evaluation of teaching and scientific-professional activities in the procedure for selection into scientific-teaching positions, and the Decision on the conditions and procedure for selection into scientific-teaching, scientific, teaching, and associate positions at the School of Medicine of the University of Zagreb.

Persons of both genders can apply to the call under equal conditions. The decision of the School Council on the selected candidate will be published on the School website after the meeting of the School Council.

The application period is sixty days from the announcement of the call in the "Narodne novine" (Official Gazette). The call was announced on July 10, 2024, Narodne novine No.: 81.
