Offer Description
The Department of Material Sciences and Process Engineering, Institute of Chemical and Energy Engineering is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
Extent of employment: 40 hours per week
Duration of employment: 1st of September 2024, limited to 31st of August 2026 (with option for temporary extension)
Workplace: Vienna
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1 lit. b, € 4.752,30
Responsibilities:
- Self-motivated research and teaching in the field of process engineering, energy technology and/or energy economics
- Acquisition and operation of research projects in the wider area of carbon management
- Development of attractive teaching formats
- Contribution to building up a working group in the field of carbon management technologies
Required skills and qualifcations:
- Doctorate degree/PhD in engineering, natural or social sciences
- Diploma degree in chemical process engineering or other equivalent university degree
- Language skills: German or English business fluent
- Experience in one of the following areas:
- Technology development for energy-efficient CO2 capture
- Industrial process simulation
- Energy system modelling
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Experience in project acquisition
- Experience in publication of scientific contents
- Experience in university-level teaching
