Offer Description

The research activities fall within the scope of Sub-Project2 of Activity 10 Spoke 3 of the PNC Fit4MedRob Fit for Medical Robotics project. Sub-Project2 (Functional Nanoparticles for Biorobotics and Rehabilitation aims to create active nanomaterials for the stimulation of the peripheral nervous system with applications in the field of neurorehabilitation. The activity will focus on the synthesis and characterization (TEM, FTIR, SEM, ICP, XRD) of colloidal nanocrystals obtained as ferromagnetic-ferroelectric core-shell heterostructures, based on oxides, semiconductors and/or ternary materials. Colloidal synthesis procedures will be developed/optimized, either using conventional solvothermal and/or microwave and-or autoclave approaches. The development of various compositional and morphological-structural combinations of materials will be investigated (e.g., anisotropic morphologies).

Master’s degree Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering (or equivalent), Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology or an equivalent qualification obtained according to the regulations in force prior to D.M. 509/99, or a Master's degree (D.M. May 5, 2004), and a professional background suitable for conducting research activities

Specific Requirements

a) Documented Experience in:

• basic chemistry (inorganic, organic, analytical).

• chemistry and manipulation of colloidal nanocrystals.

b) Skills in:

• chemical synthesis processes in solution (hydrothermal, solvothermal, microwave);

• structural, morphological, spectroscopic characterization technique (e.g. TEM, SEM, XRD, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FTIR, DLS, NMR, ICP);

• surface functionalization processes and related characterizations.

c) Any publications in the field and participation in projects;

d)Knowledge of MS Office and principal software for data analysis (such as: Origin or equivalents).

e) Good knowledge of the English language, and basic knowledge of the Italian language (for foreign candidates).

Benefits

Contract of one year (renewable). Yearly gross remuneration for one year: “19.367,00” EUROS

Selection process

The submitted applications will be evaluated by CNR. A reserve list of accepted applications will be set up. The notice of invitation to the interview is sent to the candidates, via PEC-Email, at least twenty days before the day in which the interview itself is to be held. In the same invitation, an indication of the score reported in the evaluation of the qualifications will be provided. Any changes in relation to the aforementioned date and / or place of the test will be communicated in the same manner as above.
