The competition may be entered by candidates who:
- meet the requirements stipulated in Art. 113 of the Act of July 20, 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, with subsequent amendments), and in the Statute of Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Cracow;
- have a post-doctoral degree in art in the field of guitar playing;
- they have outstanding artistic achievements on an international scale;
- have teaching experience at a university in the field of guitar playing.
Candidates who wish to enter the competition are hereby requested to submit the following documentation:
1. Written submission of an entry to the competition.
2. Personal questionnaire.*
3. Certified diploma of habilitated doctor of arts.**
4. Candidate's written statement to the effect that when qualified for employment through this competition, Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music shall be his or her primary place of work as defined by the Law.
5. Written declaration of the candidate's willingness to attribute their artistic output to Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Kraków for the purpose of evaluation in the artistic discipline of musical arts.
6. Candidates written statement pursuant to Art. 113 of the Law on Higher Education and Science.*
7. Information on the candidate's hitherto created artistic, scientific and didactic oeuvre in the form of a list enumerating their most significant achievements.
8. List of repertoire proposed for presentation in the competition procedure.
9. Personal data processing agreement.*

**In the event that a candidate submits documentation relating to any degrees and titles awarded in a foreign country, they are required to obtain a sworn translation by a certified translator.
Additional Information
The competition procedure shall consist of the following stages:
1. Performance of pieces selected by the Committee from the repertoire proposed by the Candidate, consisting of at least three pieces. The total duration of the entire repertoire is at least 60 minutes. Duration of the artistic presentation – approx. 30 minutes. The committee may shorten the duration of the presentation.
A list of the repertoire proposed for performance (with the approximate duration of individual pieces) should be attached to the submitted documentation; selection of works and presentation time at the discretion of the Committee.
2. Conducting a demonstration lesson in an expected time frame of approximately 20 minutes. The committee may shorten the duration of the demonstration lesson.
3. Interview.
Applications must be submitted no later than by 31st August 2024
at the following address: Akademia Muzyczna im. Krzysztofa Pendereckiego w Krakowie, ul. Św. Tomasza 43, 31-027 Kraków, tel. No. (12) 422-66-94, with the following annotation: „Dział Spraw Osobowych” (Human Resources Department).
The date of the receipt of relevant documents by the Rector's Office shall be regarded as conclusive.
Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music will not secure any accommodation.
The competition is expected to have been resolved by 20th September 2024, interested parties shall be notified of the exact date of the competition either in writing or by telephone.
Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music reserves the right to reject a candidacy in the event that a candidate does not meet the formal criteria laid down.
The Academy of Music reserves the right to annul the competition without giving any reason thereof.
Candidates shall be notified of the selection of winners.
The selection of a student for a demonstration class or an accompanist, if necessary, is left to the discretion of the candidate.
