• • The candidate has Romanian citizenship or other EU member states or states belonging to the European Economic Area or the right to work on the territory of Romania;
  • Knows the Romanian language, writing and speaking;
  • has a state of health corresponding to the position for which he is applying;
  • fulfills study conditions and, depending on the case, seniority or other job-specific requirements;
  • has not been convicted of any crime.

Specific conditions:

• Graduate of long-term higher education, with bachelor's degree and diploma in bio-medical field (biology, chemistry, biotechnologies, medicine, biomedical sciences)
• Doctoral student with the topic of the doctoral thesis in the field of the project
• Previous experience researching mechanisms and genetic factors in hyperuricemia and gout is an advantage

Activities within the project:

1.    To participate in the fundamental and translational research activity within the project

2.    To ensure the correct maintenance of the record of the biological samples entered in the laboratory

3.    To perform functional studies that investigate the inflammatory effects of hyperuricemia: cell cultures, ELISA, etc

4.    To perform nucleic acid analysis: purification, DNA and RNA quantification, amplification, quantitative PCR, sequencing and other appropriate molecular techniques

5.    To carry out the statistical analysis of the obtained experimental data

6.    To be informed about the research in the field, to read specialist articles, to launch working hypotheses and to draw conclusions relevant to their own research

7.    To collaborate with the team members in the activity of disseminating the results and promoting the project

8.    To participate in the work meetings that take place within the project

9.    Contribute to the preparation of specifications for the acquisition of fixed assets, consumables and reagents necessary for the research activity

10.  To contribute to the transfer of own knowledge to other members of the project team

11.  To write laboratory journals with the daily activity and periodic work reports regarding the research activity and the progress achieved.

Duration of contract: 24 months (with start in 17 July 2024)

Maximum number of hours/ month: 160 hours
