The candidate must have experience in the study of the effects of intermittent hypoxia on the immune response in order to develop the main objectives of the project. In this line the person to be incorporated must have experience in handling biological samples, cell culture.

To have the title of Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Technician.

The candidate must have previous experience in the following functions:

-Extraction, handling and culture of mononuclear cells extracted from peripheral blood of patients. Detailed characterization of cell populations and their functional capacity, using the techniques of flow cytometry, Western Blot, mRNA extraction, qPCR, among others. Also, in biological samples, serum or plasma will be isolated for functional studies using Elisas, CBAs, etc. 

-In a complementary way, it is required the management of in vitro model of intermittent hypoxia for culture of primary cells or cell lines.

The functions to be performed will be:

- Peripheral blood collection. Characterization and functionality of cell populations using various techniques such as cytometry, qPCRs, Elisas, western blot.

- Work with primary cell cultures and cell lines subjected to intermittent hypoxia in order to study the effect of intermittent hypoxia and oxidative stress.

- Characterization and quantification of cytokines and soluble proteins.

• Indefinite-term employment contract for scientific and technical activities.
• Professional category of Superior Technician, Group IV, Area 2, according to the collective bargaining agreement.
• Full time of 37.5 hours per week.
• Gross annual salary: €21.424,50 € 
• Private matters: 6 working days per year.
• Vacation: 22 working days per year.
• December 24 and 31 are non-business days.

The selection process will consist of two phases and the following scale will be applied, out of a maximum of 10 points:

-Training and curricular merits: 6 points.

-Personal interview: 4 points
