Job profile:
The Chemical Physics Group at the Institut für Ionenphysikund Angewandte Physik has an opening for a PhD position in spectroscopy, photochemistry and FT-ICR mass spectrometry of clusters. In this position you are expected to write a dissertation in a stimulating environment using the university's infrastructure. You will hold your own lectures, tutor students and participate in administration. 50% of the working time is reserved for the thesis. The successful candidate holds an MSc degree or equivalent in Physics, Chemistry or a related area. Experience in laser spectroscopy, photochemistry and FT-ICR mass spectrometry of clusters, as well as quantum chemical calculations, in particular excited state calculations, is expected. Please include a research plan (max. 5 pages) with your application.
