We are delighted to be recruiting a Research Culture Project Manager to deliver a range of initiatives to enhance the research culture within the Faculty of Medicine.
What will you do?
Working closely with our Faculty Lead for Research Culture this role will encompass:
- Management and delivery of a portfolio of initiatives to improve research culture across the Faculty.
- Analyse existing activities within the Faculty and wider University from a research culture perspective.
- Produce reports on research culture activities and opportunities.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prioritising your own workload
- Please note you will not be undertaking research yourself; this is a research management role where you will deliver and analyse our research culture.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about creating a positive research culture. You will be able to operate with minimal supervision, managing your own workload to both deliver changes that enhance our research culture and track ongoing activities. The successful candidate will require:
- An understanding research culture in a health research environment.
- Able to develop and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to critically appraise activities and their impact on research culture.
- Excellent writing, analytical and critical appraisal skills.
Working hours and pattern
The role as offered at 0.4fte (14 hours per week). The hours can be carried out either by working two full days per week or over three or four days. There are no pre-set working days.
Hybrid working (up to 40% of time WFH) is available following a suitable induction period and with the agreement of your line manager.
Your office location will be at Southampton General Hospital with occasional days based at Highfield Campus.
