Offer Description
La Rochelle Université is recruiting a European Project Officer (M/F) to encourage and promote the development of European projects submitted by the university. This is a fixed-term contract of 20 months that can be renewed and after which a permanent contract may be offered.
The European Project Officer position has been created as part of the "ExcelLR'H" project funded by the France 2030/France Relance programme via the call for projects "Accelerating the Development Strategies of Higher Education and Research Establishments" (ASDESR), of which La Rochelle Université is the winner. The ExcelLR'H project aims to develop La Rochelle Université's participation in European funding programmes.
The European Projects Officer is part of the Project Grants & Agreements Office within the SmUCS Institute, which brings together La Rochelle Université's research laboratories and master's to doctoral programmes. Comprising a team of 10 people, the office advises and supports project holders during the preparation, submission, contracting and monitoring phases of projects in which the Université is involved (research and non-research projects).
This recruitment is also part of the EU-CONEXUS European University initiative, of which La Rochelle Université is a member. The Project Grants & Agreements Office coordinates the Project Development Support Office, which aims at developing the submission and success of European projects with the 8 other partners in the alliance.
You will work in close collaboration with the project officers already working in the Project Grants & Agreements Office and the Project Officers of the European University's Project Development Support Office.
Mission
Your main mission will consist of strengthening the support provided to project holders (teachers-re-searchers, researchers, administrative staff, etc.) in the process of responding to European calls for projects (Horizon Europe and Erasmus + European framework programmes, as well as other European pro-grammes dedicated to research, innovation and training).
Activities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring, awareness-raising and training (targeted monitoring of the university's activities, organisation of information meetings/sessions and training courses);
- Project detection (personalised meetings with researchers and directors, administrative staff, identification of calls based on the projects detected, implementation of an upstream strategy in the absence of a suitable call);
- Framing and putting together proposals (personalised support for project leaders: framing the project in line with the call for proposals, help in finding partners, editorial support, coordinating the partnership, etc.) on behalf of La Rochelle Université and also on behalf of the EU-CONEXUS European University;
- Representation of the institution (National Thematic Groups, professional networks);
- Helping to update data and indicators relating to the "European funding" activity of the office and producing reports;
- Coordination of contractualisation of selected projects;
- Organization of kick-off meetings;
- Advice and support in the implementation of projects.
