Offer Description
The Department of Economics and Social Sciences, Institute of Marketing and Innovation is currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate (project employment)
Extent of employment: 30 hours per week
Duration of employment: 1st of September 2024, limited to 31st of August 2028
Workplace: Vienna
Gross monthly salary and pay grade in terms of collective agreement for university staff (payable 14 times per year): B1, € 3.564,20
Responsibilities:
- Methodological and empirical research in collaboration with an international consortium (Horizon Europe project on sustainable food consumption)
- Co-authorship of academic publications based on the project
- Presentation of research results at scientific conferences and non-scientific events (science-to-public)
- Knowledge transfer in line with the social responsibility of the University
- Adminstative project management
- Coordination with international project partners
- Reporting activities within the framework of the project
- Teaching activities are optional
Required skills and qualifications:
- Doctorate degree/PhD in Business/Management, Psychology, Sustainability Science or related fields with a focus on consumer behavior and quantitative methods
- Excellent commands of English in writing and speaking
- Publications in international peer-reviewed journals in the field of marketing, business, or psychology with a focus on consumer behavior
- Excellent knowledge of statistical methods and software (e.g. SPSS, LISREL, AMOS)
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Methodological competence in measurement theory/scale development
- Experience in the acquisition and management of third-party funded research projects
- Experience with presentations at international scientific conferences
- Commitment to further qualification (e.g. habilitation project)
- Ability to self-organize and take responsibility for the performance of tasks
- Team spirit, self-initiative and adherence to deadlines
- Willingness to participate in further training within the framework of the university's offerings
- German language skills optional
