Offer Description
We are looking for a motivated post-doctoral candidate to join the Cognitive Neuroimaging unit (UNICOG) at NeuroSpin, Paris-Saclay, France, to study the visual plasticity and potential cortical reorganization of blind individuals.
The project is led by Minye Zhan, in tight collaboration with Stanislas Dehaene and other researchers at NeuroSpin, Laurent Cohen at ICM in Paris, Jose Sahel, Serge Picaud and other scientists at the Vision Institute.
NeuroSpin is France’s advanced brain-imaging center, hosting multiple state-of-the-art neuroimaging systems including three human MRI scanners (3T, 7T, and a world-record 11.7 T human scanner), three animal MRI scanners (7T, 11.7T and 17T), MEG and EEG facilities. UNICOG (lead by Prof. Stanislas Dehaene) studies higher-level cognition, and excels in experimental design. The successful candidate will benefit from the rich technological and experimental expertise in NeuroSpin.
The successful candidate will perform advanced fMRI analysis on individual blind participants, and participate in 3T, 7T fMRI data acquisition. In addition, the candidate may have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience of the 11.7T human MRI scanner.
