Offer Description
About the position
You will be one of the ten PhD researchers studying topics related to improved PABs through intervention in youth. The position encompasses your own PhD study project, next to intensive training, secondments and a lot of collaborations within and outside INDEEP.
Duties of the position
You will review the literature on intervention development based on a theoretical intervention development framework and merged with co-creational approaches. Next you will perform iterative testing of a proposed Physical Activity Behaviours intervention development methodology for adolescents. The position furthermore encompasses interviews and focus groups with key stakeholders and end users on toolbox usability and dissemination potential of a toolbox. In collaboration with another PhD researcher you will also collect EMA (Ecologically Momentary Assessment) data on Physical activity behaviours in adolescents.
You will receive a lot of training in order to support improved Physical Activity Behavours through intervention in youth, delivered through the development of an innovative, state-of-the-art methodology and to train future researchers for implementing evidence-based, effective PAB interventions based on systems of determinants, as recommended by the WHO Global Action Plan on Physical Activity.
