Offer Description
There is an open competition for the attribution of a Post-Doctoral Research Grant to carry out research activities within the scope of FCT-funded project EWRI2022 - Exploitative working relationships: Impact on employees’ health and behaviors.
Workplan:
The Grant holder will help to achieve the project’s objectives. Workplan and objectives to be achieved:
- Bibliographic search and review;
- Contact different institutions to build partnerships and to collect data;
- Recruitment of study participants;
- Data collection using surveys and documents (data collection may require travel);
- Dataset construction and management;
- Quantitative data analyses:
- Collaboration in writing scientific articles in English;
- Participation in meeting and seminars;
- Mentoring the research assistant (PhD student);
- Supervising the work and activities of the research assistant (PhD student).
The research grant has a duration of 12 months, renewable up until the end of the project (February 2026).

PhD holder - Organizational Psychology or Organizational Behavior
Mandatory requirements:
- Fluency in the English language (spoken and written);
- Immediate availability;
- Knowledge and experience in studies or projects in the project’s subject areas (organizational behavior, work relationships, health, stress)
- Knowledge of advanced research techniques in the project field
- Evidence of experience in quantitative data analysis (survey, experiments, diary surveys);
- Experience and knowledge in the use of online data collection platforms;
- Quantitative data analysis experience with R, SPSS, AMOS ou MPLUS (other relevant);
- Availability for national and international meetings and conferences;
- Attendance and presentation of work in conferences in the project’s subject areas.
Preferential requirements:
- Publication or submission of scientific articles in relevant journals from the project domain
- Knowledge about quantitative methodologies and data analysis
- Fluency in the Portuguese language (written and spoken)
Additional Information
Monthly stipend of 1801 €, net, plus social security coverage and work insurance.
- PhD holder - Doctoral degree in Organizational Psychology or Organizational Behavior;
- Having obtained the doctoral degree in the three years preceding the submission of the application to this grant;
- Having obtained the doctoral degree in a host institution different from the one where the Grant will take place, i.e. not having obtained the doctorate from one of the programmes offered by the Business Research Unit of Iscte – University Institute of Lisbon.
- The research fellow cannot exceed with this contract and eventual renewals the maximum limit of 36 months allowed for this type of fellowship (BIPD), in case they have benefited from a BIPD before.
In the first pre-selection phase: Quality of CV (70%), quality of cover letter and motivation (20%), letters of recommendation (10%).
In the second phase, the first 3 shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and will be assessed using the following criteria: (a) the quality of their scores in the first selection phase (20%), (b) the quality of the interview (80%). At the interview, candidates will have to present a research article from their PhD.
