The Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the research group on language acquisition of the Departament de Filologia Catalana look for outstanding researchers to apply for a Marie Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (call HORIZON-MSCA-2024-PF). The candidate will collaborate with the research project  Development and acquisition of preverbal syntax and semantics (DAPSS), PID2022-138413NB-100.

Area of research

We welcome applications in topics related – but not limited – to: the acquisition of syntax, the syntax-semantic interface, and of pragmatics with focus on very young children.

The UAB was the first university in Spain obtaining MSCA projects in the H2020 programme. Some of our strengths as Host Institution for a MSCA fellowship:

Eligibility criteria for MSCA-PF candidates

• Holding a PhD and a maximum of eight years full-time research experience after PhD. Years of experience outside research and career breaks (e.g. maternity leave) are not taken into account;
• Not having resided or carried out your main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline (11/09/2021 – 11/09/2024).

Candidates of all nationalities are eligible.

Selection process

We invite researchers to submit their application accompanied by:

• PhD certificate;
• A CV, including track record and selected list of publications;
• an abstract of the proposal (5 pages max, excluding references);
• A cover letter, including your preferred starting date (in no event later than 01/09/2026).

Candidates will be informed of the results of the internal selection by 01/06/2024. Selected candidate/s will be invited to develop the MSCA-2024-PF application with the support of the PIs and the UAB’s grants office.
