Candidate should have PhD degree in physics, research experience in experimental neutrino physics, proficiency in spoken and written English, experience with GNU/Linux computer operating systems, knowledge of the C++ programming language and experience with the CERN’s ROOT software framework, affinity for teamwork within an international collaboration.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the design of neutrino oscillation experiments; experience with Geant4 and GENIE software packages; experience in development of Monte Carlo simulation of neutrino detectors, especially for water Cherenkov, scintillator and emulsion detectors; experience in operating emulsion-based neutrino detectors; experience with neutrino interaction cross-section measurement techniques.

Selected candidates who have achieved their higher qualifications outside Croatia will be required, before the signing of the employment contract, to obtain the Ruling on the Recognition of Foreign Higher Educational Qualifications issued by the Agency for Science and Higher Education.

Appointment to a Postdoctoral Fellow position is for a period of 4 years. The employment includes a six-month trial period. With an applicant who has already been employed in a postdoctoral fellow, the employment relationship can only be established for the remaining period of up to four years. The candidate cannot be employed as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Republic of Croatia for a total of more than four years.
