We are searching for a motivated Postdoc Researcher to participate in the project “Development of the anti-epileptogenic drug ACT-03 for the treatment of epilepsy” which aims to study the preclinical development of a drug based on the selective inhibition of metalloproteinases to prevent and/or reduce epileptic seizures, thus contributing to slow the progression of epilepsy and its associated comorbidities in patients of all ages. This project has the possibility of direct collaboration with industry aiming to high impact publication. The mechanism of transport through the blood-brain barrier of ACT-03 will be evaluated in detail by means of microdialysis studies in control mice and mice model of the disease, as well as efficacy studies in a preclinical model of TCE in order to expand the indications and applications of ACT-03.
