Offer Description
The work will take place in Portugal (Lisbon).
The selected applicant will be integrated within the CESEMs’ research group of Contemporary Music, carrying out the tasks related to the study and documentation of Portuguese classical music between 1980 and 2020, in the field of technologically assisted composition. Specifically: To develop a musicological study of the work of Portuguese composers who integrate instrumental and technological means into their works, whether electric, electronic or digital; to produce knowledge and systematic documentation on the subject.
The work should complement the candidate's current studies as well as contributing to the development of the work carried out on the work of Portuguese composers of contemporary music developed within the scope of the Contemporary Music Research Group.
The research fellowship’s duration is 8 months, eventually renewable until a maximum of 12 months.
The expected starting date is May 1, 2024.

Additional Information
Monthly research fellowship corresponds to € 990,98€, according to the table of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal
When chosen by the candidate, a first category voluntary social insurance may be added to this amount, together with a personal accident insurance.
Holder of a diploma (Licenciate) in Musicology, Music, or equivalent and enrollment in a Master in Musicology, Music or Musical Arts.
The selection method will be a) curriculum evaluation, on a grading scale from 0 to 10, with weighting of the academic background and the preferential requirements.
