RECRUITMENT PROCEDURE FOR A SENIOR TECHNICIAN UNDER FUNDING UIDP/00009/2020, ON A FIXED UNCERTAIN TERM WORK CONTRACT, UNDER THE LABOR CODE

Public notice is hereby given that, by order of the Rector of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Professor João Sàágua, dated 04/10/2023, a recruitment procedure is open for the hiring of a Senior Technician for the funding UIDP/00009/2020 – Centro de Toxicogenómica e Saúde Humana (ToxOmics), financed by FCT, I.P, at NOVA Medical School Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, da Universidade NOVA de Lisboa under a Fixed-Term Employment Contract, pursuant to the Labor Code and under the regulations of the directors of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (Regulation No.º 577/2017, of October 31, published in the Diário da República, 2nd Series, no. 210, of October 31), referred to hereafter as the Regulation.

1. Place of work:

The workplace is located on Faculdade de Ciências Médicas|NOVA Medical School (FCM|NMS), Universidade NOVA de Lisboa (UNL), at Campo dos Mártires da Pátria, 130, 1169 -056 Lisboa

 

2. Functional Duties:

The candidate will be involved in the production and characterization of nanosystems for the treatment and diagnosis of breast cancer. Additionally, the candidate will participate in the development of three-dimensional human models using various cell types and biomaterials to assess the therapeutic effectiveness of the developed nanosystems. These studies have been previously approved by the Ethics Committee of NMS.

 

3. General Admission Requeirements:

The candidate must hold a Master´s degree in Life Sciences, preferably in Oncobiology.

 

4. Special Requirements:

The candidate must have proven laboratory experience in the production of polymeric nanoparticles and their characterization regarding size, polydispersity, and charge; development of three-dimensional cellular models and assessment of cellular response to developed nanosystems, involving cell viability techniques, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry, and molecular genetics (RT-qPCR).

6. Submission of Applications:

The recruitment procedure is open for the submission of applications until March 6, 2023.

 

7. Selection Methods:

Selection will be based on Curricular Evaluation (CE) which may be complemented by Professional Selection Interview(PSI), if deemed necessary by the Selection Committee.

 

The final score will be expressed on a scale of 0 to 20 points and will result from the following formula:

Final Score = (30% CE) + (70% PSI)

The evaluation parameters and respective weighting of the selection methods are recorded in the minutes of the selection committee meeting, which will be provided to candidates upon request.
