Offer Description
Proteomic analysis of ancient samples: The University Pompeu Fabra is in search of an exceptional candidate to join us as a Senior Technician. In this role, the candidate will play a crucial part in a prestigious European Project aimed at assessing the genetic contribution of the Epstein- Barr virus (EBV) to the risk of multiple sclerosis (MS). This cutting-edge project entails the collection of saliva samples from both MS patients and control subjects, followed by the comprehensive sequencing of the EBV for each participant.

● A minimum of 5 years of recent, hands-on laboratory experience, particularly in tasks related to molecular biology and genomics, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR.
● Strongly preferred: Previous experience in library construction and genomic capturing.
● Execute the essential tasks involved in extracting Epstein-Barr virus DNA through genome capturing techniques and library construction for next- generation sequencing.
● Lead and coordinate the process of sample acquisition in collaboration with the project team.
Additional Information
Expected remuneration: 33,425.02€.
