PhD position in the MSCA Doctoral Network “MobiliTraIN”: Establishing Measurement Standards for Small Molecule Bioanalytical Methods Based on Ion Mobility-Mass Spectrometry

• Academic Master recognized by the EU in one of the following disciplines:chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or related fields, or you will have obtained it by the time you start work.
• You can demonstrate excellent academic results from your studies.
• Knowledge in analytical chemistry, especially in separation sciences and mass spectrometry, and statistics are essential. Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry is an asset.
• Interest in microbial cell cultivation and willingness to work in a biotechnology laboratory.
• An organized approach with strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility and team spirit in an international research environment.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally for scientific secondments.

Candidates must fulfil the MSCA Doctoral Networks Eligibility Criteria stated below.

Specific Eligibility Criteria of the Horizon Europe Marie Sklodowska-Curie (MSCA) programme apply, including the mobility rule and PhD rule. Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply.

Mobility rule: Researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date (i.e., the start of employment).

PhD Rule: Applicants must be doctoral candidates, i.e. not already in possession of a doctoral degree at the date of the recruitment.

Recruited researchers will be part of the MobililTraIN doctoral programme. MobiliTraIN offers:

The gross salary per year is €42 945.60. The exact net salary is dependent on local tax and social and health insurance regulations and will be confirmed upon appointment. Moreover, funding is available for technical and personal skills training and participation in international research events.
