Offer Description
If you love to communicate, preferably about the major issues of this century in the field of health, rare diseases and complex procedures, and European Reference Networks (ERN), then you have come to the right place in our team!
We need a social communicator to manage the action website and social media in liaison with the communication teams of the different ERNs.
Your future tasks:
- To be responsible for the press and media work of the JARDIN (including writing and editing press releases, handling journalist enquiries).
- To be responsible for designing the contents and keeping the website of the JARDIN up to date.
- To identify and develop topics and strategies for internal and external communication.
- To further develop the regularly published external and internal newsletter and act as editor.
- To coordinate communication projects (including the development of social media channels, podcast) with all relevant stakeholders of JARDIN and implement them.

You have a very good feeling for language and the ability to bring complex natural science, social science and humanities topics to the point and prepare them in a way that is suitable for different audiences.
You enjoy designing new, innovative communication channels and formats.
You have basic knowledge in the editorial use of content management systems (e.g., WordPress), image and video editing (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Camtasia, etc.) and layout creation (e.g., Adobe Illustrator).
You have a very good command of English, both spoken and written.
You like to work independently within a team.
Knowledge of the media landscape in EU is favourable.
In addition, previous experience in a university or research environment is desirable.
Master's degree and practical experience in the field of science journalism or science communication.
Enthusiastic about supporting our colleagues in terms of science communication.
