What you'll do

We are looking for a motivated Machine Learning Working Student to join our data science and AI engineering team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to dive into the intricate world of Data Science and Machine Learning, while working closely with our experienced team of data scientists and machine learning experts.

Specifically, your tasks are:

• Support data scientists in all stages of a machine learning project, including data preprocessing, modeling, evaluation, and error analysis.
• Assist in tuning prompts for large language models.
• Collaborate with the team to apply data science techniques to real-world challenges, thereby contributing to product improvement.
• Learn and adapt new methodologies and tools to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
• Contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions to discuss research trends, insights, and innovative approaches.

The job is a very good opportunity to collect professional experience and get insights into SAP. We are a young team and offer an international and cooperative working atmosphere. We offer flexible working hours and hybrid work. The average weekly working time should be at least 15 hours.

What you bring

• Enrollment in a master's degree program in Machine Learning or a related field with at least one year left until graduation.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning algorithms
• Experience with Python and machine learning software packages such as scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow
• Experience with data and error analysis and ability to clearly present core insights
• Excellent results at university; Proven track record in coursework or projects involving sophisticated machine learning algorithms
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or a related field
• Excellent English language skills

Be a part of a team of data scientists and AI data engineers in the central AI organization of SAP. Our focus is on developing cutting-edge machine learning models that form an integral part of our product offerings. We aim not only to enhance the performance and efficiency of our existing models but also to continually innovate, driving the boundaries of what's possible especially in the area of Generative AI.
