Offer Description
The Comparative Genomics Lab (UPF) is seeking a highly organized lab manager who can work effectively, plan and organize the lab activities for the ApeGenomeDiversity project. Among others, the lab manager will supervise the lab technicians, overseeing their experiments and will provide experimental support to ensure all projects are completed on time. Furthermore, the candidate will adapt, optimize and develop new methods in close collaboration with the lab’s computational scientists.

Other requirements
- Bachelor/master’s degree in Biology (or related disciplines) or a lab technician qualification
- Experience in running a general laboratory
- Attention to detail and excellent managerial skills
- Expertise in molecular biology, particularly DNA/RNA biology
- Experience in general laboratory techniques (DNA/RNA extracción and QC, PCR, qPCR)
- Experience in cellular and molecular techniques
- Previous experience in preparation of libraries for Next Generation Sequencing
- Capacity to work independently and as a part of a team
- Good communication skills in English

Expected remuneration: 31,643,00€ bruts a 34.826,60€ variable segons experiència
