The Catalan Institute of Classical Archaeology (ICAC) seeks
to hire a temporary postdoctoral researcher (R2 incorporation) in the field of
classical archaeology. The ICAC Action Plan (2014-2020) provides for temporary
employment contracts for postdoctoral researchers. Through them, the Institute
aims to incorporate postdoctoral researchers who have completed their training
into one of the ICAC’s seven research teams: Landscape archaeology (GIAP),
Population and territory in the Roman period, Seminar of Ancient Topography
(SETOPANT), Archaeometry and Artistic Productions (ArPA), Food, the economy and
trade in the ancient world (Aecma), Protohistoric archaeology, Christian and late-antiquity
archaeology and The Greco-Roman eastern Mediterranean.

The ICAC is a public institution established by the
Government of Catalonia and the Rovira i Virgili University. Its purpose is to
carry out research, advanced training and dissemination in the field of the
Mediterranean civilisation and culture from protohistory to Late Antiquity, in
all its material and immaterial expressions. ICAC is part of the CERCA network
and the centre of reference in Catalonia in this field.
