Offer Description
The University Pompeu Fabra is in search of an exceptional candidate to join us as a Senior Technician. In this role, the candidate will play a crucial part in a prestigious European Project aimed at assessing the genetic contribution of the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) to the risk of multiple sclerosis (MS). This cutting-edge project entails the collection of saliva samples from both MS patients and control subjects, followed by the comprehensive sequencing of the EBV for each participant

Information on the minimum requirements:
● Diploma
Other requirements:
● A Degree or master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.
● A minimum of 5 years of recent, hands-on laboratory experience, particularly in tasks related to molecular biology and genomics, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR.
● Strongly preferred: Previous experience in library construction and genomic capturing.
● Execute the essential tasks involved in extracting Epstein-Barr virus DNA through genome capturing techniques and library construction for next-generation sequencing.
● Lead and coordinate the process of sample acquisition in collaboration with the project team
