Offer Description
The Commute project is fully funded by the ANR (main French funding agency) and aims, in collaboration with the PRISM laboratory (CNRS & Aix-Marseille Univ), Airbus and Stellantis, at identifying sensory feedback-based solutions to facilitate human actions. While the ultimate goal is to provide an interface to facilitate driving a car and piloting an aircraft, the proposed part of the project is to conduct basic science to determine the role of visual, proprioceptive, tactile and auditory cues in the control of voluntary actions.
The PhD student will work with researchers, engineers and technicians plus a postdoctoral fellow, and will be expected to survey the literature, propose hypotheses and experiments to the team, run experiments with human participants, analyze the collected data, propose figures and interpretations, present work to the team and to peers at local, national and international events/conferences, and write manuscripts for publication.
We value diversity and welcome applications from minorities and historically underrepresented people. Come as you are, and add to our group! Please visit https://ism.univ-amu.fr/en/users/sarlegna-fabrice , https://ism.univ-amu.fr/en/ , https://www.marseille.fr/
