The PhD position is part of the MSCA Doctoral Network 'ACTVA', Advanced Customized Technologies for Intact Vision in Ageing (www.kth.se/activa). The PhD student will investigate with a novel setup, e.g. age differences in the neural transfer function (NTF), and develop age-dependent models for the NTF.
We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious PhD student to work on a project aiming to accurately predict the optimal correction of deteriorated vision, enabled by measuring the NTF. The PhD candidate will benefit from networking with, and secondment to, other project partners in order to gain understanding and access knowledge from others.
The doctoral candidate will utilize cutting-edge techniques in eye diagnostics like the novel setup measuring the NTF, peripheral refraction, and data science.
