The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.
Requirements
- Command of the Polish language to a degree enabling conducting classes in this language.
- Command of the English language to the extent that allows teaching in this language.
- Master's degree in microbiology or biology.
- Experience in research in the field of microbiology, with particular emphasis on the biology and genetics of bacteriophages, bioinformatic analysis of genomic sequencing data NGS, techniques for the production of recombinant phage proteins, genetic engineering, including the design of phage mutants.
- Experience in conducting in vivo research in a mouse model.
- Teaching experience in conducting classes for students.
- Scientific publications in the field of biological sciences.
- Experience in working in foreign laboratories, training courses and active participation in international and domestic conferences is welcome.
Responsibilities
Research area:
- Candidate will conduct research in the discipline of biological sciences.
Teaching area:
- Classroom and field teaching in the biology.
- Supervision of volunteers and students carrying research work at the department.
Organizational area:
- Promotion of science activities.
- Care of apprentices and thesis students.

- A self-report containing a description of the candidate's scientific activity, degree of internationalization, organizational activity and didactic activity.
- A list of the candidate's publications for a period not longer than 10 years.
- Electronic versions of the two most important publications that the candidate considers to be representative of his/her scientific achievements or an explanation of their absence.
