Assessment and valorization of biochar amendment for promoting soil health, carbon storage and sustainable viticulture 'BIO-C-VITE'

The winner of the position will be involved in a research project that aims to detect the impact of the use of biochar as amendment in vineyard soils. Specifically, the research will focus on the biochar effect on the grapevine water status and overall physiological performances. He/she will be involved in the set-up of the experiment and in several physiological measurements, such as the monitoring of the greenhouse gas emissions from biochar-treated soil, the soil water availability, the vine water status and yield/growth performances. Moreover, he/she will be responsible for the statistical data processing, technical report writing and will be involved in the composition of scientific papers resulting from the research.
