In the context of the European Joint Program Initiative on AntiMicrobial Resistance (JPIAMR) project KLEOPATRA (www.jpiamr.eu/projects/kleopatra/) we are offering a 2,5 years postdoctoral position to participate in the pre-clinical development of a synergistic phage therapy/antibiotic treatment protocol against Klebsiella pneumoniae. This project will be performed within an international consortium of academic and SME teams with complementary expertise in microbiology, microbial genomics, phage engineering, preclinical studies and phage therapy.

We are seeking for a highly motivated and autonomous postdoc with experience in animal models, ideally models of infections. Additional expertise in bacteriology, in vivo imaging and/or immunology will be greatly appreciated.

The postdoc position is open for 2.5 years starting January 2024.

The research activity will be performed in the group of Dr. Régis Tournebize within the team “Emergence and Diffusion of Multiple Drug Resistance against antibiotics” led by Alexandra Aubry of the Center for Immunology and Microbial Infections (https://cimiparis.fr/en/equipes/aubry-alexandra-2). The group has a long experience in Klebsiella pneumoniae genomics and genetics, Klebsiella bacteria – bacteriophages interactions and preclinical studies of Klebsiella infections and colonisation. The research unit is located within the Medical University of Sorbonne Université in Paris. The research center provides access to various state of the art laboratories and facilities.
