Scientific area: Social and Human Sciences
Researcher Profiles:
— Degree in the area of Social and Human Sciences (Letters, History or other);
— Be enrolled in a master's degree in Literature, Text Editing, History or Teaching;
— Interest in archiving and cataloguing;
— Basic digital skills;
— Ability and interest in integrating multidisciplinary teams and innovative projects.
Candidates must meet the eligibility conditions provided in the Article 6º of the FCT I.P Regulation for Studentships and Fellowships (2019).
The candidate(s) cannot exceed, with the conclusion of the scholarship contract in question, including possible renewals, an accumulated period of one year in this type of scholarship, followed or interpolated.
Important notice regarding the Application Admission Requirements mentioned above:
•In the case of academic degrees awarded by foreign higher education institutions, and in order to guarantee the application of the principle of equal treatment to candidates who hold foreign and national academic degrees, it is mandatory to recognize these degrees and convert the respective final classification to the Portuguese rating scale. The recognition of foreign academic degrees and diplomas as well as the conversion of the final classification to the Portuguese classification scale can be required in any public higher education institution, or in the Directorate-General for Higher Education (DGES). •The scholarship is always dependent on the presentation of proof of the required academic qualifications.
Work plan:
The research fellow will carry out the following tasks within the scope of the Crafts and Craftsmen of Ornamentation and Book Binding project developed within the framework of the protocol signed between the IELT and the Historical Archive of Lisbon City Council. 1) Carry out a bibliographical research of “artist books”/ “unique book”; 2) list and classify the pragmatics of the mentioned objects (pedagogical application, for example); 3) prepare an article on the concept and practices of the “artist's book”/“unique book” and its application in the field of education; 4) collaborate with the project coordinator in the preparation of an Open Seminar on the research results.
Duration of the fellowship: the fellowship will last for 4 months, starting in october 2023. The fellowship contract may be renewable.
Application submission deadline: The call for the scholarship is open from July 25th to August 14th 2023.

- Motivation letter;
• In the case of academic degrees obtained in foreign higher education institutions, it is necessary to present the recognition of the degrees obtained, in accordance with DL No. 66/2018, of 16 August; or, in the absence of recognition at the time of candidacy, a declaration under an honorary commitment that this recognition will be made prior to contracting the Scholarship, in case of being the selected candidate. However, it is mandatory to present the acknowledgement up to the moment of contracting the scholarship.

Amount of monthly maintenance allowance: the amount of the scholarship corresponds to € 930,98, according to the table of values of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). To this amount is added the voluntary social insurance corresponding to the first level, in case the candidate opts for its attribution, as well as the personal accident insurance.
Workplace: The work will be developed at the Institute for the Study of Literature and Tradition (IELT).
