In compliance with the provisions of article 7 of the FCT Research Grants Regulation (Reg. nº 950/2019), applicants must:
a) hold a PhD degree obtained in the three years prior to the date of submission of the scholarship application;
b) have carried out the research work that led to the award of the doctoral degree in an entity other than the entity hosting the grant;
c) not exceed, with the conclusion of the scholarship contract in question, including possible renewals, an accumulated period of three years in this type of scholarship, consecutive or interpolated;
d) not have had previously a post-doctoral research fellowship contract with FCSH.
Academic degrees obtained in foreign countries require registration by a Portuguese HEI, in accordance with Decree-law nº 66/2018, of August 26th, and Portaria nº 33/2019, of January 25th. Work plan: the research fellow will develop tasks within the scope of the Portuguese Dialogues project, whose main objective is to provide sources and to develop studies on Portuguese Dialogues. The activities to be performed will be as follows:
- functional and scientific verification of the “Portuguese Dialogues” database in collaboration with the scientific supervisors;
- updating of the existing data in the database;
- preparation of one scientific article based on the data gathered in the database “Portuguese Dialogues”, to be presented in a congress or accepted for publication in a peer reviewed, and preferably indexed, journal;
- preparation of one scientific article in the specific area of “Portuguese Dialogues”, to be presented in a congress or accepted for publication in a peer reviewed, and preferably indexed, journal;
- organization of a colloquium on “Portuguese Dialogues”.
Duration of the fellowship: the fellowship will last for 4 months, starting in October 2023. The fellowship contract may be renewable.
Application submission deadline: The call for the scholarship is open from July 25th to August 14th 2023.

- Curriculum vitae (max. 5 pages) with evidence of the elements required
- Motivation letter
- Doctoral degree certificate
- In the case of academic degrees obtained in foreign HEI, it is necessary to present the recognition of the obtained degrees, in accordance with DL nº 66/2018, of 16th of August; or, in the absence of recognition at the time of application, a declaration under oath that this recognition will be completed before contracting the Scholarship in case of being the selected candidate. It is mandatory to present the recognition until the date of contracting the scholarship.

Amount of monthly maintenance allowance: the amount of the scholarship corresponds to € 1,741, according to the table of values of scholarships awarded directly by FCT, I.P. in Portugal (http://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). To this amount is added the voluntary social insurance corresponding to the first level, in case the candidate opts for its attribution, as well as the personal accident insurance.

Publication / notification of results: the final results of the evaluation will be publicized by email through a list ordered by the final grade obtained. All applicants will be notified by email.
After the provisional list of evaluation results has been communicated, candidates have a period of 10 working days to comment, if they wish, in a prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with Articles 121 and following of the Administrative Procedure Code. The final decision must be taken within a maximum period of 60 working days after the conclusion of the prior hearing of interested parties or the public consultation.
Complaints may be lodged against the final decision within 15 working days, or appeal to the highest executive body of the financing entity within 30 working days, both after the respective notification.
