About the project
The project is about the development of viable prototypes and technology transfer of nanotechnologies applied to endodontic infections. The project is developed by the Endodontics department at the Dentistry School and the Bioengineering Institute of Technology at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya.

We are currently seeking a part-time technician and must have knowledge and/or experience:
- The candidate must have or closed to complete a degree in Bioengineering, Materials Science, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related field.
- Knowledge on the synthesis of nanoparticles and drug loading and release.
- Knowledge on bacteria culture.
- Knowledge on FDM 3D printing and designing (preferable with Solidworks) will be highly valued.
- Knowledge on tooth anatomy, endodontic infections and technology transfer will be highly valued.
- Knowledge on material characterization.
- Ability to write technical reports in English.
- It is also expected to have the ability to manage Pack Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Motivated, organized, and with initiative.
Additional Information
Applications are invited from qualified candidates for a part-time as technician at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) in the Sant Cugat Campus. The contract will last for four months. The selected candidate is expected to fill the position by September 2023. The gross annual amount will be 18.000 € (37.5 hours per week).
The activity will focus on nanotechnologies applied to endodontic infections (2021 PROD 00141) funded by the Agencia de Gestió d'ajudas Universitaries Investigació (AGAUR) (20 hours per week) and internal tech transfer project related to dental materials (17.5 hours per week).
