Offer Description
- Estimated work commencement date: immediately.
- Workplace and type of contract: Faculty of Chemistry, group of Prof. Igor F. Perepichka, fixed term, full-time job.
- Period of employment: from the start date till 31.08.2025 (subject successful initial 3-months’ probation period). In the case of the above-mentioned position, fixed-term employment limits do not apply due to the occurrence of the premise of objective reasons attributable to the employer (Article 25^1§4 point 4 of the Labor Code), consisting in employing an employee in the position of an economic specialist due to temporary involvement in the implementation of a European project;
- Remuneration: up to total € 5,000 per month (including gross salary, employer’s contributions to healthcare, pension, etc.).
We seek for person with strong R&D background in organic electronics, microelectronics and/or physics for position of an Innovation Manager to support the ERA Chair Holder (Prof. Igor F. Perepichka) in preparing ICT (Information and Communication Technologies Work programme) and organic electronics R&D proposals for national and international projects as well as innovation management of the project.

- Involvement in the preparing R&D proposals for funding from national and international funding sources (e.g. H2020/FP9 and EU Structural Funds).
- Managing major national and international R&D projects.
- Patents preparation.
- Training researchers in IP issues (e.g. patent protection and licensing agreements) and innovation management techniques (e.g. creativity techniques, product/service design techniques and problem-solving techniques).
- Identifying contract research commercial opportunities.
- Establishing cooperation with industrial partners.
- Assist in organizing other academic activities for the project (e.g., academic speeches, conferences, meetings, publicity etc.);
- Other managing tasks assigned by the PI.
Requirements:
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or Engineering.
- Strong R&D background in organic electronics, microelectronics and/or physics.
- Experience in successful preparation of ICT and organic electronics R&D proposals for national and international projects.
- Experience in patents preparation.
- Knowledge about IP issues.
- Experience in innovation management in scientific teams.
- Experience in training researchers in IP issues and innovation management techniques.
- Ability to work under high pressure in a tight-time schedule.
- Good interpersonal/communication skills and high level of English proficiency (both spoken and written).
- Adhere to high ethical standards.
Additional requirements:

- Experience in promotion cooperation between science and business.
- Experience in science promotion.
- Experience in organisation and promotion of scientific events (e.g. conferences, workshops, etc.).
