Offer Description
Description of fthe Project.
The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on every aspect of our lives and has highlighted the inequalities in exposure and access to healthcare resources. Scientific research has rapidly evolved, but many questions remain unanswered. The COVID-SHINE project aims to understand the dynamics of the pandemic by incorporating social determinants of health (SDH) into agent-based models (ABMs). By simulating interventions under different scenarios, the project can recognize the best actions and guide suitable policy interventions. Strengthening the capacity of modelling strategies through robust integrative theoretical frameworks can better simulate, interpret and guide policy interventions. A systems science approach can help understand the multifactorial roots of systemic diseases and achieve different potential impacts by manipulating multiple factors. A person in charge of communicating the results of the project is necessary.
