The Johns Hopkins University Science Diplomacy Hub will host an event titled "Perspectives from the European Research Council" featuring keynote speaker Prof. Maria Leptin, President of the ERC. Prof. Leptin will give an overview of the ERC, present opportunities for international researchers, and inform attendees about future perspectives.
The free event will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 AM ET on Monday, April 29th, 2024. Space is limited and advance registration is required by April 27th.
Created in 2007 as part of the European Union Research framework program, the ERC funds frontier research in all areas of sciences including social sciences and humanities. In a short period of time, the ERC has established itself as a global reference for excellence in science, often compared to the NSF or NIH here in the United States.
