Description
Prepare a joint MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships project with NASK! Become part of our research teams working on the most current innovations in cybersecurity and AI. Working at NASK will allow you not only to develop a state-of-the-art scientific project in IT & engineering, but also to see its direct impact thanks to being based at an institution specializing in practical application of digital innovations. The work of our researchers is supported by a professional scientific development office.
NASK is a public research institute based in Warsaw, Poland. We have connected Poland to the Internet in 1991 and continuously work on digitalization of a number of public services through dedicated apps and portals. As the institution monitoring the network traffic in Poland, we form the basis of the national cybersecurity system. NASK conducts vibrant and interdisciplinary research with a variety of projects, many of them in cooperation with international and domestic research institutions and companies. We have experience coordinating large EU-funded consortia and small, more targeted projects.
Some of the current research areas where we seek collaborators include:
- NLP, including transformer models, reinforcement learning, and explainable AI, but also computational linguistics and digital humanities,
- generative language models, in particular model evaluation, explainability, safety and robustness analysis, e.g. ethical considerations,
- multimodal data analysis,
- security of machine learning,
- privacy protection, applied cryptology, identity management, cryptographic hardware.
If any of this aligns with your interests and postdoctoral research plans, do not hesitate to contact us at msca@nask.pl. We will answer any of the follow-up questions you might have and will happily receive your full Expressions of Interest (EoI) once you are ready to submit them. Those should include:
- an academic CV,
- a short description of your proposed project (ca. 1 page),
- any other relevant information.
Please submit your EoI until July 31, 2024. Prospective candidates selected by NASK will be invited to prepare an application jointly with the Institute in time for the September 11, 2024 call deadline.
