Brazil-European Union 11th Joint Steering Committee meeting

On 12 December, the 11^th Brazil-European Union Joint Steering Committee meeting (JSCM) took place in Brasilia. On the EU side, the event was chaired by Maria Cristina Russo, Director for International Cooperation at the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, EU Commission

The Joint Steering Committee meetings (JSCM) under the Scientific and Technological Cooperation Agreement steer, guide and design the strategic orientations of the bilateral cooperation. 

Ms Russo participated at the Confap’s Forum on 13 December (organised with EURAXESS’ support) and held bilateral meetings.

Director Russo also participated in bilateral meetings with Luciana Santos, Minister of Science, Technology & Innovation. See news here.

EURAXESS LAC had the pleasure to support the director in her mission to Brazil. We interviewed Director Russo on the 13 December, where we had the opportunity to hear about the EU Global Approach for R&I, the outcomes of the EU-BR Joint Steering Committee meeting held in Brasilia and the EU-CELAC Common Research Area.
