英国-Wellcome研究员奖 UK - Wellcome Investigator Award - Funding for world-class researchers and clinicians with a compelling long-term vision for their research. Provides a flexible package of funding that is driven by the requirements of the proposed research. Awards may be small or large, typically up to £3 million, and lasting up to seven years. Applications three times a year. Next deadline: 12 March 2018

 

欧洲呼吸系统协会-短期研究培训奖学金European Respiratory Society (ERS) - Short-Term Research Training Fellowships - Short-Term Research Fellowships are established to enable young scientists and clinicians in the early-stages of their research career in respiratory medicine to visit a Host Unit in a (European) country other than the candidate's own, with the aim of learning a research technique not available in the Home Unit. The research training should benefit the Home Unit when the applicant returns there, by leading to research developments and activities back onsite. Short term stays of 1-3 months are supported. China launches its first seismo-electromagnetic satellite, known as Zhangheng 1 in Chinese, into a sun-synchronous orbit from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, in northwest China's Gobi Desert, Feb. 2, 2018. The satellite was launched to study seismic precursors, which might help establish a ground-space earthquake monitoring and forecasting network in the future.
