Research Partnership Grants are particularly useful to develop joint project proposals to be submitted to large funding agencies in Latin America, Switzerland, and Europe or to combine already existing and independently funded projects in Switzerland and the partner countries in order to create long-lasting cooperation.
For the period 2021-2024, the Leading House will support new cooperation endeavors with all potential partners in the region. Therefore, the Leading House opens the call, inviting scholars from Switzerland to propose mono- or interdisciplinary research projects in any Latin American country, involving bilateral or multilateral partnerships.
Exceptionnally, this year’s call focuses on the following four specific Sustainable Development Goals and two thematic areas:
‒ Sustainable Development Goal 3 – Good health and well-being Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages
‒ SustainableDevelopmentGoal10–Reducedinequalities Reduce inequalities within and among countries
‒ Sustainable Development Goal 11 – Sustainable cities and communities Make cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable
‒ Sustainable Development Goal 13 – Climate action Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts
‒ CO VID-19 pandemic: Coronavirus and its related consequences
‒ Digitalisation: Technical, management, societal, and ethical aspects
Project proposals should be connected to at least one of these four SDGs or two thematic areas and ensure a direct transfer to society, benefiting local communities and building capacity.
Grants between CHF 10,000 and CHF 25,000 will be awarded (~ 9 000 - 23 000 €)
Deadline: 25 June 2021. More: Leading House Latin America
