Description

The ScienceFlows group is a multidisciplinary team based at the University of Valencia in Spain that focuses on science communication (currently highly engaged with mis and disinformation circulation) and the public understanding of science.

The ScienceFlows research group would bring a wealth of expertise in science communication and public engagement with science to the MSCA candidate. Specifically, our research team could offer the following:

Research skills: The ScienceFlows team has extensive experience researching science communication and public engagement with science. We could contribute to the design, implementation, and analysis of research projects within the MSCA candidates.

Knowledge of best practices: The ScienceFlows team has researched various science communication practices and could share their expertise in developing effective communication strategies for the MSCA candidates.

Training and capacity building: The ScienceFlows team has developed and delivered training programs on science communication and public engagement with science. We could offer training and capacity building to the MSCA candidates to help them communicate their research to a broader audience.

Networking opportunities: The ScienceFlows team has established a broad network of contacts in science communication and public engagement with the science field. We could help the MSCA candidates to connect with other researchers, practitioners, and organizations in this area.

Impact and dissemination: The ScienceFlows team has experience disseminating research findings and maximizing the impact of research through various channels. We could support the MSCA candidates in developing effective dissemination and impact strategies for their research.

Overall, the ScienceFlows team could offer valuable expertise and support to the MSCA candidates in science communication and public engagement with science, helping to ensure that their research has a broader impact and is accessible to a wider audience.

At the deadline for the submission of proposals (13 September, 2023), researchers:

•shall be in possession of a doctoral degree

•must have a maximum of eight years of  experience in research, from the date of the award of their PhD degree, years of experience outside research and career breaks will not count towards the above maximum, nor will years of experience in research in third countries, for nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries who wish to reintegrate to Europe (  click for more information)

•must not have resided or carried out their main activities in the country of Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the abovementioned deadline.
