Description
The MemProt Lab (https://research.uv.es/membrana/) has expertise in membrane protein biogenesis and folding and its relationship with apoptosis control. We are particularly interested in the role of the Bcl2 family proteins and their transmembrane domains (TMDs) in the regulation of cell death. The project will aim to explore the TMD interaction network of Bcl2 family proteins and to determine the structural details of the identified interactions. In addition,i we aim to develop a cancer treatment based on an inhibitor of BclxL intramembrane interactions that we have recently designed. We are also proficient in cutting-edge proteomics analysis, including SWATH, Single-cell proteomic, and MALDI imaging.
