Description
A Postdoctoral Fellowship is available in the group of Prof. Murat Acar at Koç University, Istanbul, Turkey. The position may be supported as an MSCA-PF-2023 application.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in biology, molecular biology, genetics, computer science, biophysics, biochemistry, or a relevant subject area. A strong track record is encouraged. Strong oral and written communication skills in English are a must.
The candidate will be working in a dynamic systems biology laboratory with a key focus on understanding molecular mechanisms in cellular aging and designing interventions to control the aging process at the single-cell level. The candidate will have access to fully equipped infrastructure and active collaborations within the university as well as international institutes including Yale University. Prof. Acar’s group is a part of the Koç University Research Center for Translational Medicine (KUTTAM), aiming to contribute to the development of novel therapeutic approaches with clinical potential.
Successful candidate is expected to perform experiments/analyses, draft manuscripts, and mentor graduate/undergraduate students. The successful candidate will be offered a very competitive salary and benefits including accommodation support, a laptop, meal card, and health insurance.
